These days of course, they are now the great innovators. The 4.2 litre engine is generally an Isuzu based power plant (they supply to Nissan, Mitsubishi, Hino etc), although I did hear that there was a ‘sweetheart deal’ with Toyota around the late 90’s (unconfirmed).
What should I be looking out for in buying a Nissan Civilian?
Currently I’m looking at a real tidy motorhome, a 7m 1990 4.2 litre, 5 speed, dual rear wheels with all the goodies and layout I’m looking for. I’m a European Automotive Technician and I own my own business, however I don’t work on buses. What should I be looking out for that I’m not familiar with ?? The bus has done circa 165,000km.
