Where is HMV Liverpool moving to?
Music and entertainment retailer HMV is set to open a new store in Liverpool city centre. The HMV launches at St Johns Shopping Centre on Williamson Square on 20 July and it will occupy a 10,000 sq ft unit in the centre when it opens.

Are HMV still trading?
HMV has been bought out of administration by Sunrise Records, the Canadian record store owned by the mogul, Doug Putman. Over 100 shops will remain open and 1,200 jobs will be saved. He fought off competition from Mike Ashley who already owns large swathes of the High Street brands.
Is HMV closing down 2020?
HMV confirmed customers will still be able to order products from its website while shops are shut. The retailer said: “We’re very sad to have to let you know we’ll be temporarily closing our stores for trade from the end of the day today, Sunday March 22.”
What replaced HMV?
HMV Canada Ltd. was a Canadian entertainment retailer, owned by Hilco. The company was originally a subsidiary of HMV in the United Kingdom until it was sold to Hilco Capital in 2011. HMV itself would later be bought by Hilco in 2013.
